The New Year Lift
Harmony and I were discussing what to wear to the New Year's Eve party that we will be attending together.
Dwarfie, who overheard us, responded with, "Something that shows leg and cleavage." The Chair seconded Dwarfie's comment with a naughty chuckle and an affirmative shake of the head.
"Well, my dress is short and low cut," I responded, "but I don't know how to make my girls peek over the balcony..."
"The right bra will do the trick," Harmony informed me.
Harmony was correct. At a trendy brassiere shop in the Rideau Centre, a young salesperson, knowledgeable in the art of cleavage, explained to me that it was all about memory foam (I thought she said mammary foam).
"No one comes about it naturally and size is not important," she reassured me as she eyed my bosom. She handed me two different bras, and I was impressed to see that the bras featured over one inch of foam at the base and sides of the cups.
"All the better to push things up," she chirped encouragingly.
*I wont' show my bra versus bra-less look - that's already been done in quite the lovely way by one of the ESI's favourite bloggers.
Carry Phone and Answer Machine
Unlike Harmony (whose blog I will truly miss) I have been waiting for the technology that she has scrapped since I was seven years old.
I could not wait to have my own carry phone and answer machine just like the ones described to me in my cherished Childcraft encyclopedia.
But, the one thing I am still waiting for is my jet pack!

Newsflash: Harmony is no longer blogging
Harmony's Singing in the Shower blog is no longer. I was about to comment on her latest posting -- basically to tell her that she's hot -- when I was shocked to discover that the blog was no longer there. I emailed her immediately, and here is her email response:
---------------------------------------------------
I mean, did she think about maybe taking a little break? Or, maybe doing a little non-blogging experiment? I don't know anyone who has deleted her blog....Ok, maybe just one...
Anyway, I have offered to blog about her non-blogging, and she seems ok with this idea. I'm happy for her. She's free now. I'm still shackled and chained.

Thanks for noticing!
I deleted it.
Various reasons, none important, but I was about done with it, as I was with my cell phone about 6 months ago...
I'm now Facebook free, cell-free, blog-free, and if i had my druthers, internet-free..

In Harmony with Equal Opportunity
Harmony was doing her own version of being "in harmony" with Blue Skies last week-end. While others played music and sang, she giggled and/or snorted behind her Cosmo magazine.
During one instance she sweetly informed the men gathered under the gazebo that it was now absolutely OK for men to get a Brazilian wax. Fellas, any comments?
